Meet Dr. Rekha Wadhwa

Education
Dr. Rekha G. Wadhwa, a New Orleans native, completed her undergraduate studies at Tulane University. She graduated cum laude with a double major in Biology and Anthropology.

She earned her dental degree from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She furthered her skills with an orthodontic internship at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Wadhwa received her Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Seton Hill University Center for Orthodontics.

After residency, Dr. Wadhwa practiced in South Carolina for four years and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. She is deeply committed to her profession as an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Association of Orthodontists.

Above & Beyond
Her dedication to community service matches Dr. Wadhwa’s passion for orthodontics. She has volunteered with organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Missions of Mercy, and Ronald McDonald House, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the community.

Dr. Wadhwa strives to create connections with her patients, understanding each patient’s goals and aspirations. Her favorite aspect of orthodontics is enhancing patients’ confidence through beautiful and functional smiles.

Outside the Office
When Dr. Wadhwa is out of the office, she loves spending time with her husband, Amit, and hanging out with family and friends. Her hobbies include baking, traveling the world, being a ’90s hip-hop music enthusiast, and supporting the New Orleans Saints.
